Scope This document specifies the characteristics of unalloyed titanium used in the manufacture of surgical implants and the corresponding test methods. Table 2 lists six grades of titanium based on tensile strength. NOTE The mechanical characteristics of a sample taken from a finished product manufactured from this metal do not necessarily conform to the values specified in this document.
