History

This Global System for Mobile communications Technical Specification (GTS) covers stage 1 of the first phase of the CAMEL feature (Customized Applications for Mobile network Enhanced Logic) which gives the mechanisms to support services consistently independently of the serving network. The CAMEL feature is a network feature, not a supplementary service, it is a tool that helps the network operator to provide the subscribers with the operator specific services even when roaming outside the HPLMN. This document only describes the interactions between the VPLMN, LMN, IPLMN and the CSE.
