The standard specifies functional requirements, testing and maintenance of welding control units used for the execution of joints of polyethylene (PE) pipes and/or fittings, by means of electro-weldable fittings, in conformity with UNI EN 12201-3, UNI EN 1555-3 and UNI EN ISO 15494, for transport and distribution of fuel gas, water for human consumption, raw water before treatment, drainage and discharge under pressure, of vacuum discharge systems, of water for other purposes and fluids for industrial use.
