Applies to hard-drawn steel wire suitable for resistance welding, and intended for use as such or in fabricated form for the reinforcement of concrete. It specifically excludes hard-drawn high tensile steel wire for prestressed concrete, which is covered by AS A141. The wire specified herein is normally available in standard wire gauges not greater than 7/0 (o.500 in) and not less than 12 (0.104 in).
