This Standard describes the method for determining the setting time of portland and blended cements using a paste of normal consistency. It allows the use of alternative procedures provided that they do not affect the results significantly as specified in Clause 5. In the event of a dispute only the procedure described in Clause 7 of this Standard shall be used, excluding any alternatives.
