AS/NZS 60335.2.7:2020 deals with the safety of electric washing machines for household and similar use, that are intended for washing clothes and textiles, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances.
This Standard will supersede AS/NZS 60335.2.7:2012 three years from the date of publication (i.e. on 26 June 2023). During this period AS/NZS 60335.2.7:2012 will also remain current. Regulatory authorities that reference this Standard in regulation may apply these requirements at a different time. Users of this Standard should consult with these authorities to confirm their requirements.
