This Standard AS 7663 covers the following aspects of Railway infrastructure in Australia.This standard sets out the minimum requirements for railway signalling cables to minimise the risk of asset failures and of harm to personnel working with, or in the vicinity of, railway signalling cables.The standard is intended to:- provide a uniform basis for compliance with AS 4292 Railway Safety Management- support mutual accreditation by infrastructure managers, operators and regulators- cover differing rail operations across Australia- identify the risks (hazards) being controlled- ensure that cables of an appropriate standard are utilised in the signalling system- support a consistent approach in the use of Signalling Cables, enabling common cables to be used across state boundariesThis standard specifies the accepted criteria that shall be employed when designing, procuring or storing railway signalling cables on the Australian Rail Network.This standard shall be applied for new installations and upgrades; it shall not be applied retrospectively.This standard shall be applied to Signalling Cables within the rail corridor in Australia and New Zealand.The standard contains seven parts plus three appendices.- Introduction- Composition- Packaging- Acceptance- Installation- Maintenance- DecommissioningAppendices- Glossary- Characteristics- FiguresPlease note that this product is in Excel format only. The Excel format allows users to more easily edit and comply with the standard, especially when working in the field.
