1.1This practice describes the procedure for measuring curl in synthetic filament.
1.2This practice is applicable to filament 2 to 5 in. (50.8 to 127 mm) in length.
1.3This practice is applicable to tapered filament or level filament.
1.4This practice is applicable to loose filling material and material removed from a brush.
1.5The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
