Gives a measure of the viscosity by determining the time of efflux of 50 ml of a cut-back bitumen at 40 deg C, through a 10 mm orifice. Applies to cut-back bitumens having efflux times in the 15 to 500 sec range and is suitable for cut-back bitumens as in BS 3690.
