Establishes methods for determining bulk density, true density and apparent solid density, and the true and apparent porosities of engineering ceramics. Three methods are described. Method 1 assesses bulk density, apparent porosity and true porosity by the evacuation method, method 2 determines bulk density only and method 3 determines true density and apparent solid density, by gas pycnometer.
