This British Standard specifies the chemical composition, heat treatment, mechanical properties and the inspection and testing procedures applicable to forgings of aluminium-zinc-magnesium-manganese-copper alloy supplied in the as-forged or annealed condition for use in the solution treated and overaged condition (see note 1 to the table).
