In accordance with the CENELEC Harmonization Document HD 53.8 S4, equivalent to IEC Publication 34-8 (1972) plus Amendment 1 (1990), the Standard covers alternating current machines without collector and direct current machines with collector with reference to the following points: a) marking of the output terminals; b) direction of rotation; c) relationship between terminal marking and direction of rotation.
