FASC 6470 La presente Norma specifica le prescrizioni per un sistema di interfaccia fondato su bit tra un dispositivo individuale di controllo e circuiti di comando o elementi di commutazione, collegati per mezzo di un cavo che porta dati e alimentazione. Consente, inoltre, l'intercambiabilità di componenti dotati di tali interfacce.
