La presente Norma si applica a nuovi trasformatori di potenza, trifasi o monofasi, la cui tensione massima per l'apparecchiatura è superiore a 36 kV e la cui potenza nominale è pari o superiore a 5 kVA, oppure la cui potenza nominale è pari o superiore a 40 MVA indipendentemente dalla tensione massima per l'apparecchiatura.
