This standard specifies the maximum permissible A-weighted sound power levels for factory acceptance testing of rotating electrical machines conforming to IEC 60034-1, having cooling methods conforming to IEC 60034-6 and degrees of protection conforming to IEC 60034-5, of normal design, power between 1 kW and 5500 kW and speed not exceeding 3750 min-1.
