This Standard specifies the performance requirements for electronic ballasts powered by alternating current up to 1000 V at 50 Hz or 60 Hz with operating frequencies other than the supply frequency, associated with tubular fluorescent lamps, as specified in IEC 60081 and 60901 and other high-frequency tubular fluorescent lamps.
