Compared to the CEI EN 61850-8-1: 2010 Standard, this variant shows the following main technical changes: - support for Gigabit Ethernet; - the redundancy of the link level; - the extension of the length of the object reference; - the reason for the inclusion type for the full registration; - mapping of tracking services; - a second mapping of the object reference when used in tracking services or as a link; - the extension of the list of additional causes; - the simulation of the GOOSE telegram; - the so-called GOOSE coded at a fixed length; - removal of the SCL control block.
