This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for one grade of graphited grease specifically for use as a lubricant in heavily loaded intermittent applications, such as aircraft combustion starter gears and slow-moving plain bearings and sliding surfaces, over the operating temperature range minus 40 °C to plus 120 °C.
