This standard is included in DIN Handbook 45. For single-start ISO metric trapezoidal screw threads the same tolerance system is to be used as for ISO metric fastening thread. Therefore, for threads up to 6 mm pitch, this standard contains extracts from DIN 13 Part 14 and Part 15, and also, for threads with pitches above 6 mm, supplementary information regarding basic allowances e, lengths of engagement and tolerances. The basic allowances c have been newly included. For trapezoidal screw threads other preferred tolerance fields than for fastening threads are recommended.
