Diese Norm hat DIN EN 50423-1 zur Grundlage. Sie gilt zusammen mit DIN EN 50341-1 und den zugehörigen Nationalen Normativen Festlegungen für Deutschland DIN EN 50341-3-4. Sie ersetzt und ergänzt die Festlegungen in DIN EN 50341-3-4 soweit dies nachstehend festgelegt ist. Diese Norm gilt für die Planung und Errichtung von neuen Freileitungen mit Nennspannungen über AC 1 kV bis einschliesslich AC 45 kV.
