Proposes the adoption of ISO/DIS 10707 as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard. This proposed Standard provides a method for the determination of the 'ready' biodegradability of an organic compound in an aqueous medium at a given concentration by aerobic microorganisms. The procedure involves the analysis of the biological oxygen demand over a period of 28 days. Copies of ISO/DIS 10707 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office.
