Proposes the adoption of IEC 1180-1:1992 as an Australian Standard. It is applicable to dielectric tests with direct, alternating and impulse voltage and tests with impulse current on equipment having a rated voltage of not more than 1 kV a.c. or 1.5 kV d.c. It is mainly applicable to type testing. Copies of IEC 1180-1:1992 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office.
