Proposes the adoption of FIPS PUB 173-1B:1994 Spatial data transfer standard Part 4: Topological vector profile and includes an Appendix providing variations to FIPS PUB 173-1B for Australia and New Zealand. Provides a limited subset to the specifications for data transfer contained in AS/NZS 4270, Parts 1 and 3. The topological vector profile supports only geographic vector data with geometry and topology. The draft contains a short extract of FIPS PUB 173-1B. A copy of FIPS PUB 173-1B may be viewed at or purchased from offices of Standards Australia or Standards New Zealand. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
