Proposes particular requirements for the safe design and manufacture of mammographic X-ray equipment and mammographic stereotactic devices. A thorough working knowledge of its parent Standard AS/NZS 3200.1.0, or a readily available copy, is necessary to deal with some of the technical issues raised. The proposed Standard is identical with and reproduced from IEC 60601-2-45:1998. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
