Materials covered are: Salt Water Clay, Low and High Viscosity Carboxy methylcellulose, Barytes, Bentonite, Starch, Tannin and Lignosulphonate thinners as drilling fluid additives. A section is also included on the use of iron based weighting agents in drilling fluids.
