Defines metrological and other requirements for oscillation-type density meters used in laboratories for all types of homogeneous fluid samples. Additionally, a procedure for adjusting and calibrating laboratory instruments is provided. These instruments are either stand-alone units or form part of more complex measuring equipment which supplies additional test parameters of the sample. Does not cover the procedure for using the density meters for especial applications or products, eg petroleum products or beverages, nor does it specify a particular instrument.
