This Standard specifies the characteristics of prevailing torque type hexagon nuts with flange (with non-metallic insert) for general use. If other specifications are required, they should be selected from existing standards, for example JIS B 0205, JIS B 0207, JIS B 0209, JIS B 0211 and JIS B 1056.
