General rules on separable type wire connectors for interior wiring

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies separable type wire connectors for connection of copper wires with a rated voltage not exceeding 750 V under a.c. at a frequency not exceeding 1000 Hz or d.c. which serve in the general interior or outside wall wiring of 600 V or less. The range of wires applicable to these connecting devices is 0.8 mm to 3.2 mm in diameter for solid wires or 0.5 mm*2 to 38 mm*2 in cross sectional area for stranded wires and flexible stranded wires. Connecting devices complying with this Standard shall not require the use of special tools, other than for twist-on wire connectors.
