This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the capacitors stated below which are used with a rated voltage not exceeding 1000 V a.c. in a single phase circuit of commercial frequency, among capacitors which are principally built in electrical machines and apparatus. (1) Capacitors used in single phase circuit being connected with winding of induction motor. (2) Capacitors used being connected with discharge lamp circuit for power factor improvement.
