This Standard specifies the requirements for the urethral catheters, with or without balloon, which are used for urethral catheterization, pressure hemostasis and/or cleaning of bladder, etc. This Standard also applies to unsterilized products. However, this Standard does not apply to nephrostomy catheters and cystostomy catheters to be placed through a stoma.
