This specification covers the requirements for a mechanical assembly used to apply a force through a single linear motion from a remote location for actuating quick acting valves. The assembly consists of an encased core mechanism, a valve end fitting, core junction boxes, and trip handles (see figure 1). Assemblies covered by this specification should be furnished in one class meeting the requirements specified herein.
