This specification covers one type and size of special purpose hood to provide military personnel protection against toxicological agents. The hood is to be used over a gas mask and with the Coverall, Toxicological Agents Protective, M3. This is a special purpose Life Support Clothing and Equipment (LSC&E) item. All Government administrative and surveillance procedures applicable to LSC&E items shall be invoked in accordance with the contract or purchase order (see 6.2).
