Defines a method of leaching test specimens of wood for use in testing the biological competence of wood preservatives. Applies to the pre-conditioning of specimens before testing, and assesses the loss of efficacy by comparison of the performance in a biological test of treated test specimens with those which have not been subjected to any leaching process.
