GENERIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ASSURING THE RELIABILITY OF COMPONENTS USED IN TELECOMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT
01-10-1993
12-01-2013
Defines Bellcore's preliminary view of proposed generic requirements for components of all types that are used in the manufacture of telecommunications hardware purchased by the BCCs. This includes silicon & gallium arsenide integrated circuits & discrete devices as well as passive devices. The basic premise is that component reliability is assured by the equipment manufacturer through component manufacture & component qualification, lot-to-lot controls, proper storage & handling & adequate documentation & finally feed back & corrective action. This revision recognizes the excellent job done by the component manufacturers in assuring the reliability of their devices & details how the equipment manufacturers can access their data for partial compliance to the TA.
