TA TSY 000983 : ISSUE 1

This document addresses the reliability assurance practices for optoelectronic devices in loop applications. It is intended to be a complementary document to TA-TSY-000468. (TA-468 primarily addresses the reliability assurance practices for optoelectronic devices in a central office environment and interoffice type application). TA-TSY-000983 covers the qualification requirements and lot-to-lot controls for laser diodes and laser modules, LEDs and LED modules, photodiodes and detector modules, and module component parts whose application will be in a loop type environment. It is applicable to both the feeder and distribution segments of the local loop.
