ADVANCED INTELLIGENT NETWORK (AIN) 0.1 SWITCH - SERVICE CONTROL POINT (SCP) APPLICATION PROTOCOL INTERFACE GENERIC REQUIREMENTS
01-01-2003
12-01-2013
Contains Bellcore's view of proposed generic requirements for an AIN 0.1 Switch-Service Control Point Interface. This application protocol interface is a set of conventions to manage communications between applications to provide services in an AIN 0.1 architecture. Also included are proposed generic requirements for the application layer messages, parameters, and protocol procedures for the Service Switching Point (SSP) - Service Control Point (SCP) interface. The applications layer protocol is based on the ANSI Transaction Capabilities Application Part (TCAP) Application Service Element (ASE). Abstract Syntax Notation 1 (ASN.1) as defined in CCITT Recommendation X.208, is used to describe the ANSI TCAP messages that are sent over the interface.
