This part of IEC 60794 is a family specification that covers simplex and duplex optical fibrecables for indoor use except for cables used in terminated assemblies specified by IEC 60794-2-50. The requirements of the Sectional specification IEC 60794-2 are applicable to cablescovered by this standard.Cables intended for installation in industrial applications specified in ISO/IEC 11801-1, MICEspecifications may be additionally required (see Annex B.2).
