This part of EN ISO 11290 specifies a horizontal method for
-the enumeration of L. monocytogenes,
-the enumeration of Listeria spp.
This part of ISO 11290 is applicable to:
products intended for human consumption and for the feeding of animals;
environmental samples in the area of food production and food handling.
NOTECertain new Listeria species may not be detected or confirmed by this method (see references [3, 6, 9, 11]).
