A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Si disgrega il minerale con perossido di sodio, si liscivia la massa fusa con acqua, si acidifica la soluzione, si ossida quantitativamente il cromo a cromato con persolfato ammonico in presenza di nitrato di argento ed infine si determina il cromo aggiungendo solfato ferroso in eccesso e titolando l'eccesso di questo sale con permanganato potassico.
