The guideline is intended to provide the designer with basic knowledge of cost and profitability calculations, which he needs for a sensible development and use of tools for cost-effective design (e.g. short calculations, estimation methods) and which also enable him to be a qualified discussion partner for employees from other areas of the company ( eg accounting, work preparation, in value analysis teams) in questions of cost and profitability calculation.
