This specification covers two grades of kerosene type aviation turbine fuel, JP-8 (NATO F-34) and NATO F-35. Synthesized hydrocarbons from sources other than those listed in 3.2 require specific guidance that is outside the scope of MIL-DTL-83133. This guidance is found in ASTM D1655 Annex A1 (co-processing) and ASTM D7566 Annexes (synthetic blending components).
