Esta norma europea especifica los requisitos para productos recubiertos en continuo por inmersión en caliente fabricados a partir de aceros con bajo contenido en carbono para conformado en frío, de aceros para construcción, de aceros con alto límite de elasticidad para la conformación en frío y recubiertos con cinc (Z), aleaciones de cinc-hierro (ZF), aleaciones de cinc-aluminio (ZA), aleaciones de aluminio-cinc(AZ) o aleaciones de aluminio-silicio (AS), y para productos recubiertos en continuo por inmersión en caliente fabricados a partir de aceros multiphase para la conformación y recubrimiento en frío con cinc (Z), aleaciones de cinc-hierro (ZF) o aleaciones de cinc-aluminio (ZA) con espesores entre 0,35 mm y 3 mm a menos que se acuerde de otra manera.
